Job Description

This is a senior position responsible for managing and supervising the loading and unloading of cargo on ships to ensure safe and timely delivery.

• Manage ship loading and unloading operations;
• Monitor the cargo process;
• Manage the team;
• Communicate with customers;
• Manage budgets and costs;
• Comply with policies and regulations;
• Reporting and analysis;
• Drive process improvements;

Requirements :

•  Education: A bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or related field is preferred, although relevant work experience may be substituted for formal education.
• Work Experience: At least 5 years of experience in seafreight operations (logistic), with demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.
• Knowledge of Industry: Strong understanding of the seafreight industry, including regulations, documentation, customs procedures, and shipping practices.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Leadership Skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer software and systems for managing freight operations, including knowledge of logistics software, databases, and Microsoft Office.
• Attention to Details.
• Time Management: Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Italian & English is essential, and proficiency in other languages is a plus.
